GW2 End of Drgons: Kuunavang

The second major dragon character I created for GW2: End of Dragons was Kuunavang the saltspray dragon.

Unlike Soo-Won, Kuunavang is a returning character from GW1, originally designed and modeled by Katy Hargrove. It was an exciting honor and challenge to get to update and redesign this GW1 character for the new Canthan GW2 setting.
Like Soo-Won, Kuunavang was designed with the oceanic island themes and colors of Cantha in mind, and skewed to reference korean dragon and aquatic koi fish motifs. We wanted to retain her wyvern-like body from GW1 but altered it to be a little more serpentine with an undulating hovering flight cycle.

Both Soo-Won and Kuunavang used a special iridescence material we developed with the intent to be used on all the scaled Canthan creatures. It can't be displayed in Marmoset, but I've thrown up a few examples from our in-game model viewer of Kuunavang and a model variant made for Albax.
