A purebred Arabian racing Lindorm, or lindwyrm/lindworm. Based on some of the more bipedal depictions of this dragon from medieval art. This version was inspired by a line in "Dragons in Zoology, Cryptozoology and Culture" by Dr. Karl Shuker, that mentioned some of the bipedal lindorms as being described with the ability to outrun horses. Which struck me as a fun prompt as most of the time I think of lindorms as being more serpentine and low slung to the ground, not exactly racers.
I initially started this sketch during a livestream demo with the Raymond M. Alf Museum of Paleontology, where among other things we chatted about applying paleontological reference to creature design. I'm sorry it took me so long to finish the painted version. Been a busy year.
